Gionee launches Elife S7 smartphone

Gionee is known for their slim and sexy smartphones and their latest flagship phone is the Elife S7.

The dual-sim smartphone is only 5.5mm thick and weighs 127gms. The phone has a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels. It comes with a 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front camera. Both the front and back of the phone have Corning Gorilla Glass 3, thereby protecting the phone from scratches. According to Gionee, the metal used on the Elife S7 is aviation level aluminum magnesium alloy to make its build solid and durable with no worry of bending in pockets.

It runs the company’s Amigo 3.0 UI on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop. Gionee’s Elife S7 is powered by a non-removable 2700 mAh battery, which according to Gionee enables the phone to last a whole day. An ‘extreme mode’ on device is also said to enable the last 10 percent of battery power to potentially last for another 33 hours 45 minutes of standby time.

The device will hit the stores in a weeks time and will be available in Black, White and Blue colour variants. It will be priced at Rs 24,999.
